An Associate Member is a Turtle Mountain Chippewa who wants to actively participate in research and programs that will improve the standard of living for American Indians. The MISSION driving the Tribal Nations Research Group is “To improve the quality of life for all tribal members through culturally-competent, custom-fit research”. Associate Members either directly or indirectly can apply their knowledge, expertise, and experiences toward addressing the publicly stated mission. An Associate Member can contribute independently or collaboratively with TNRG serving as the catalyst for positive change among the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa.
TNRG relies heavily on the community of enrolled members to volunteer their time and effort to accomplish the mission of TNRG. Engaging tribal members and stakeholders in the development of community assessments, data collection activities, etc. gives the community the opportunity to invest in itself thus giving each member a purpose in their own success. Volunteers are a vital component to the success of TNRG and the goal to improve the quality of life for all members of the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians.
TNRG provides quality research education materials designed to educate the community about research and the research process. TNRG also provides educational services to the community about the TMBCI community and the services that are available to them.
TNRG understands the importance of communication and disseminating information to the public. TNRG strives to create an atmosphere in which the people of TMBCI and partnering entities understand the importance of data on how it could positively drive the decisions made by TMBCI and for TMBCI.
