Message from the president

Welcome, and thank you for visiting the Tribal Nations Research Group (TNRG)

Welcome, and thank you for visiting the Tribal Nations Research Group (TNRG).

At TNRG, we are deeply committed to empowering our tribal communities through high-quality research, data sovereignty, and culturally grounded methodologies that reflect the values and priorities of our people. Our work is guided by the principle that tribal community-led research leads to better outcomes—because we know our communities best.

As the President, I’m proud to lead a dedicated team that works collaboratively with tribal nations, organizations, and partners to produce research that is respectful, accurate, and impactful. Whether we are collecting vital data, evaluating programs, or supporting community- driven research initiatives, our mission remains clear: to ensure that tribal voices are not only heard but centered in every step of the research process.

Our vision is a future where tribal nations have full ownership of their data, where decisions are informed by reliable and relevant research, and where our children, families, and elders benefit from knowledge rooted in Tribal values and wisdom.

Thank you for supporting our work and for being part of this journey with us.

With gratitude,

Anita Frederick

President
